As for the pecking order of aluminum pergola kits, the insulated pergola by Alumawood is the best of the best.  The insulated pergola also happens to be the most expensive as well. Even with that in mind, the Alumawood insulated pergola kit allows the occupant to have lights, ceiling fans, screens, heaters, and more. Having the insulate pergola means the occupants can sit under a pergola which actually reduces heat transfer. This is accomplished via a 3.5″ thick foam dense panel.
